Program Overview
Introduction
For Inspiring Young Dance Artists: A Free Accelerated Dance Theater Program.
This program aims to provide high-quality instruction and performance opportunities to aspiring artists at no cost, if accepted.
Dance theater is a unique untapped opportunity in Northwest Indiana with very limited resources for exposure. Here is a new opportunity for dance to engage with the community. As Artistic Director, I plan to develop a program that introduces Dance Theater to dancers and performers of all ages, providing a stage where they can explore, learn, and connect through this dynamic art form.

A performing opportunity, at little or no cost to the dancer, and accelerated learning opportunities.

A non-competitive organization.

A way to continue dance education with variety, and widen genres & experiences for dancers.

A non-studio-affiliated program is open to anyone based on talent only.

A collaborative opportunity to receive new dance experience.

A program that does not prevent other activities such as dance competition groups, or studios.

Most dance theater companies require a minimum age of 18 and older. I will give the same opportunities to younger groups and add feeder programs as well.

Policies

There are 2 seasons for the Dance Theater Division of Support Performing Arts, (the mother company).
Short Season - consists of the same policies with a shorter season: Approximately May - September with 1 performance, plus special events.
The full Season will consist of a full-year commitment and will include 3 performances throughout the season plus special events.
